Lois Marie Starr Groves passed away on October 24, 2016 in Mesa, Arizona. She was born in Kittanning, PA on 11/6/16 to James Imbrie and Ida Mitchell Starr. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Robert Shields Groves Jr., sister, Betsy Lynn Bokach, and brothers Arch J. Starr and James Imbrie Starr Jr. She is survived by sons David Starr (wife Sandra) of Morgantown, WV; Robert James (wife Diana), and Thomas Roy both of Mesa, AZ; 5 grandchildren, Melissa (Michael) Eudaly, Beth Ann (Stephan) Fredo, Lisa (Christopher) Williams, Robert Groves, and Thomas Groves; and 5 great-grandchildren Zachary & Crystal Eudaly, Logan and Lola Williams and Lilith Fredo. She was active for many years in the Women’s Club of Fair Oaks, PA; an election board worker for over 30 years; and an active member of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. She loved quilting and along with her husband taught some quilting classes. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Family and friends will be received on Monday 10/31 from 4 to 6 at Simple Alternatives Inc., 717 Main Street, Windber, Pa 15963
